Alexander Wrabetz (born March 21, 1960 in Vienna, Austria) is Director General of the public broadcaster Österreichischer Rundfunk ORF and Member of the Executive Board of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU/UER). 〔http://kundendienst.orf.at/unternehmen/menschen/geschaeftsfuehrung/wrabetz.html〕 ==Education== Alexander Wrabetz attended the 2nd Federal Gymnasium in Vienna’s 19th district between 1970 and 1978. He grew up in the Vienna Döbling district. 〔http://kundendienst.orf.at/unternehmen/menschen/geschaeftsfuehrung/wrabetz.html〕 During his studies at the University of Vienna from 1978 to 1983, Wrabetz became involved in the Social Democratic Party together with Austria’s current Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann. During the National Council elections of 1983, he organised the successful preference vote election campaign of Josef Cap. He served as Federal Chairman of the Socialist Students of Austria from 1983 to 1984.
